Bali Marathon 2017

The annual Maybank Bali Marathon will be taking place on 27th August 2017. This highly anticipated event is expected to attract international athletes competing for a generous array of prizes in the 42.195 km Full Marathon category. There will also be a 21.975 km Half Marathon, 10 km Fun Run and Children’s Sprint. Bali Echo Tour: Trekking on Mount Batur

The Mount Batur Sunrise Trek is one of our most popular tours for good reason. Explore an active volcano and get up close and personal with one of Bali’s most sacred mountains. Get the spectacular experience views of the sun bursting spreading over the caldera and lake below. The trek takes about one to two hours to reach the peak at 1,717 metres above sea level. Once you arrive at the highest point, it really feels as though you are on top of the world, as you can see the majestic peak of neighbouring Mount Abang hovering above the clouds, the distant cone of Mount Agung on the horizon, and the caldera lake spread out below.

A corporate Social Responsibility program that focuses on giving back to the local community - Amadea cares was launched on 14th February 2012. Amadea Cares has Red Bag program for those who want donate their unused goods and will be distributed to orphanages or for those in need. 

Celebrating Our In-House Stars and Beach Cleaning Blitz

A Cleaning Blitz was carried out at Petitenget Beach on 21th July 2017 to remove unsightly waste materials and leave the area in pristine condition for others to enjoy. The remainder of the day included team building exercises to strengthen relationships within the workplace. Amadea’s Employee of the Quarter award was announced during this gathering followed by an informal beach party with a delicious BBQ and upbeat music. The theme for this year’s anniversary has been “Teamwork Makes the Dream Work” and this inspiring concept will be applied by all departments over the next 12 months.

Congratulations went out to Ni Putu Ayu Jenny Adnyani (Guest Service Assistant) as an Employee of the Quarter for her outstanding performance. I Gusti Ngurah Agung Suadnyana (Guest Service Assistant) were chosen as an Employee of the Quarter Supporting Partner for his exceptional work ethic and team spirit. Made Mardana, Kadek Agus Nordiawan, Ni Putu Ayu Jenny Adnyani and also I Gusti Ngurah Agung Suadnyana (Guest Service Assistant) was awarded Employee of the Quarter – Most Recommended by Guests. This particular evaluation was based on the results of guest comment card received in reference to the friendliness and service of our team.

Bali's Cultural Calendar in July 2017

Saraswati Day - Saturday, 19th August 2017

Bali’s cultural calendar is a continuous cycle of ceremonies and rituals associated with the Hindu faith. There are many auspicious occasions including Saraswati Day. This day honours education, knowledge, science, art and all forms of higher learning. Ceremonies will be held at schools and universities around the island whereby students will pray together. It is a time to express gratitude for past achievements and guidance for future academic endeavors.
 

Pagerwesi Day – Wednesday, 23rd August 2017

Pagerwesi is another important religious holiday that involves prayers and offerings. It is essentially a time to contemplate the future and mentally strengthen oneself against unexpected obstacles. Like many Balinese festivities, Pagerwesi also celebrates the universal battle between good and evil.
