AMADEA RESORT & VILLAS LAUNCHED ‘AMADEA CARES’
Missing out on one drink today could make someone smile forever!
On February 14, 2012, with the spirit of Valentine, Amadea Resort & Villas takes great pleasure to announce the launch of a Corporate Social Responsibility program that focuses on giving back to the local community. Amadea Cares is set to become the umbrella for a number of social initiatives that will be carried out for the remainder of this year.
Not everyone is fortunate enough to benefit from Bali’s flourishing tourism industry. But Amadea Cares aims address this issue and make a difference to the lives of those in need by supporting orphaned children, the aged, the impoverished and the disabled.
Funding to this worthy cause will be from the resort’s CSR budget and staff members will contribute directly from their respective salaries. Each in-house guest will also be invited to participate by donating just Rp.5.000 during their stay, which is less than the price of a single drink. All funds raised through Amadea Cares will be distributed to a number of carefully selected organizations requiring support.
The first recipient of a donation from Amadea Cares will be Yayasan Senyum Bali also known as the Bali Smile Foundation. This non-profit charity organization was established in 2005 by Mary Northmore, a Bali resident originally from the UK. It is an independent foundation that brings essential healthcare to local people with severe craniofacial disabilities.
