Amadea Goes Green with Eco Friendly Initiatives

Guest at Amadea will easily notice several initiatives are taken to ensure that the operation of the hotel leave less impact to the surrounding nature. Each guest is invited to participate in a “Linen Card” program which basically offers guest to opt for change of bed linens every 3 days. The card is provided on the bedside table where guest can simply place it on the bed to request the Housekeeping team to change the linen. Otherwise the bed linen will be changed on the 3rd day after arrival to reduce the amount of laundry chemical we dispose to the earth.

If you wish to reuse your towels you can hang it on the towel rack. You want them changed with new one? Leave it on the vanity counter.

Other green initiatives go far beyond linen and towel. The use of air conditioned is minimized as most of the public area and corridor are open air with some ceiling fans to cool off the air. On each floor there are several “water refill station” where guest can refill their bottle to reduce the amount of waste of plastic bottle. We only use biodegradable cleaning chemical.

Water consumption is measured everyday to ensure no leakage. The waste water and sewage is sampled and send to lab for testing every month to maintain acceptable quality. Amadea also provides electric buggy carts to transport guest within the resort.

At the restaurant 70% of food materials are sourced locally. This is not only reducing the amount carbon print but also helping the local economy.
