Tri Hita Karana Award 2012
28 December 2012
Amadea Resort & Villas is delighted to announce that it was recently presented with a prestigious Tri Hita Karana Award. This was presented by Mr. Gede Ardika, Indonesia’s former Tourism Minister, at formal ceremony that took place at the Art Centre in Denpasar. Amadea’s Human Resources Coordinator, Mr. Wayan Sugiharta, collected the award on behalf of the property.
Tri Hita Karana (THK) is a Balinese Hindu philosophy that embodies the belief that physical and spiritual wellbeing is achieved through a balanced existence. This concept extends to maintaining a harmonious relationship between man, the environment and God Almighty.
The Tri Hita Karana Awards is a local initiative established in 2000 by the Bali Travel News, a leading tourism publication under the banner of the Bali Post. The awards identify and acknowledge local institutions such as hotels, hospitals and public service organizations on an annual basis that have adhered to the social and spiritual principles of Tri Hita Karana.
Upon receiving the award, Mr. Sugiharta said, “It is indeed a great honour to be a recipient of this award, especially as we have only just completed our first year of operations. However, this is only just the beginning and Amadea is fully committed to the Tri Hita Karana concept. We will continue to provide a nurturing environment for our guests and employees that intrinsically honours Bali’s strong Hindu culture.”
