Events and Balinese Cultural Calendar in November

Tumpek Kandang
Tumpek Kandang on 17th November 2012 is an auspicious day on the Balinese cultural calendar. It is dedicated to ‘Sang Hyang Rare Angon’, the God of all cattle and livestock. In rural parts of the island, members of Bali’s Hindu community perform ceremonies in appreciation of animals that are essential to daily life. This involves washing cows and blessing them with special offerings and a sprinkle of holy water. Animals are considered an integral part of the ecosystem and without them the cycle of life would cease to exist.

Amadea’s Security Team Goes Gold

Amadea Resort & Villas is proud to announce that it was recently presented with a Gold Certificate for its excellent security standards from the Regent of Badung Regency and the Bali Police Office. This was awarded in lieu of scoring highly in a security audit conducted by the local government and respective police officials. The security and wellbeing of in-house guests and employees is always our foremost concern. This award just goes to prove that the property complies with all standards is considered to be a safe environment by the island’s top security experts.

Amadea Prepares for BHA Futsal Tournament

The Amadea Futsal Club was established a few months back by a group of employees who are all likeminded sporting enthusiasts. For the past few weeks they have been training hard in preparation for the upcoming Bali Hotel Association (BHA) Futsal Tournament that is scheduled to take place this November. The club has also played several friendly practice matches against other local teams in order to improve their ball skills.

 
The management of Amadea was delighted to support the club and has allocated funds to cover all training costs. This type of ‘after-hours’ sporting activity is essential for staff morale as it fosters team spirit. Futsal is an opportunity for players to exercise after work and make friends with other hospitality employees.
