Warm greetings from Bali – the island of the Gods!

As always it is a delight to present the latest edition of our online newsletter. The aim of this monthly initiative is to keep you, our friends, updated with all the news, events and special promotions from Amadea Resort & Villas in the happening heart of Seminyak.   

As the middle of the year approaches, Bali is once again gearing up for peak season. It is time for the school holidays both in Indonesia as well as in European and children are looking to unwind. It makes perfect sense to travel to Bali where the weather is fabulous and the entire family can dine out for next to nothing. Parents also get to enjoy a well-deserved break from daily household duties whilst in Bali and indulge in simple luxuries such as a spa treatment or quality time by the pool.

Speaking of family holidays, read on for details about an exciting activity where the sky is the limit at our sister property Bali Dynasty Resort. There’s also news about the annual Bali Arts Festival for a dose of local culture. And we have a brand new pillow menu here at Amadea to ensure that you sleep exceptionally well during your stay.

Amadea also celebrates its second anniversary with an array of awards under its belt including two Certificates of Excellence from TripAdvisor. Our ongoing success is largely due to a loyal following of international guests as well as our wonderful team. We recently announced the winners of our Employees of the Quarter awards and I am sure that everyone will agree that we chose wisely.

Amadea Celebrates Two Amazing Years

The month of June marks the second anniversary of Amadea Resort & Villas and it seems that we have come a long way in such a relatively short time frame. We have welcomed guests from all around the world and experienced exceptionally high occupancy levels even during the low seasons. For two consecutive years we have received a Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor, the world’s top hotel review site. This prestigious award is presented to properties with consistently high ratings based on guest reviews. And it appears that we have got things right from the very start in terms of location, service, cleanliness and value.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who chose to stay at Amadea during their time on the island of Bali. This list includes couples, families, wedding parties, groups of friends and even the occasional business traveller. Our appreciation also goes out to all of our business partners for making the journey most enjoyable. Last but not least, it is also time to acknowledge the fine efforts of our entire team who go about their duties with dedication and passion to ensure that all guests are well taken care of. The future appears bright and we look forward to serving an even wider audience of holiday makers and introducing the PRIME brand culture for many more years to come.


Exclusive Pillow Menu

We understand just how difficult it is to find the perfect pillow to ensure a restful sleep especially when you are away from home. Some hotel pillows are just too hard and others are often too soft – personal preference is entirely subjective. At Amadea we have found that most of our guests are generally satisfied with the pillows that we have available but there is always the odd exception. To address this concern we have created a Pillow Menu to anticipate special needs. In-house guests can now contact our Housekeeping Department to order a certain pillow type to help alleviate their sleeping problems. The menu includes a range of soft pillows, hard pillows, goose feather pillows and even anti-snore pillows that are available on request. We want all of our guests to have a good sleep during their time on the island of Bali and the solution is just an easy call away. Sweet dreams!


Happy School Holidays

The Indonesian school holidays are now almost upon us and local school children will enjoy a month-long break from mid June until mid July. School holidays present the perfect opportunity to reconnect as a family and many think that Bali is the best place to do so whilst enjoying great weather an extensive choice of fun activities. As a result the island is expected to be busy with domestic visitors as well as European travellers starting their summer break. If you are thinking of staying at Amadea with your children, why not book a connecting room to keep everyone together. Alternatively, a Pool Villa provides a private base with modern home comforts to anticipate the needs of families with older children. Bali Arts Festival 2013

The Bali Arts Festival starts on 15th June 2013 and is the island’s biggest cultural celebration. This inspiring annual event runs for a month and features daily performances and exhibitions that bring together some Bali’s finest examples of traditional dance, music, drama, handicrafts and cuisine.  On display are trances from remote mountain slopes, village dances, food and offering contests, classical performances and new creations from the dance schools of Denpasar. There will also be shows of contemporary choreography by dance troupes and delegations from other Indonesian islands and as well as from abroad. Visitors are welcome to come and experience the diversity of Balinese artistry in one convenient setting. The festival is staged in the extensive grounds of the Bali Arts Centre located on Jln Nusa Indah in Denpasar.


High Flyers Trapeze School

Take your Bali holiday to incredible new heights with a fun activity that the entire family will enjoy. High Flyers at our sister property Bali Dynasty Resort recreates all the excitement of the circus with trapeze classes for guests of any age. Unleash your inner circus star aspirations with a single or group class to learn all the basic tricks including somersaults and catches. This activity has been designed with full safety in mind and enables you to progress at your pace. Classes are held six days a week and bookings are essential. Contact our Front Desk to make the necessary arrangements for a class or two at the High Flyers Trapeze School.                          


Employees Of The Quarter

Every quarter Amadea’s management team formally acknowledges staff members who have excelled within the workplace. Candidates are assessed individually on their performance and guest feedback significantly contributes to the overall evaluation process. Recent winners were announced during our regular staff gathering, which is an opportunity for our entire team to meet in a social environment and strengthen inter-departmental ties.

Congratulations went out to Bell Boy, Made Mardana who was chosen as Employee of the Quarter. He is part of Amadea’s pre-opening team and joined the hotel when it was still in the project phase. Made’s consistent efforts to improve his skills and natural enthusiasm to serve guests guaranteed him this award. Employee of the Quarter – Supporting Partner went to Rio Belianto, Security Guard who always goes out of his way to assist other staff members in times of need.

Lastly, Employee of Quarter – Most Recommended by Guests was awarded to Gede Arya Sugiantara, our Bell Boy. He is popular with all in-house guests for his warmth and genuine sense of hospitality. Arya is always cheerful and has a happy smile on his face as he goes about his daily duties to ensure that guest needs are taken care of in a timely and professional manner. Well done!
