Running On Empty

At Amadea Resort & Villas, we have chosen to provide an empty fridge in all of our rooms instead of a fully stocked and often overpriced mini bar like most other hotels. This is just another example of how we are trying to anticipate the needs of in-house guests and be fair to those on a budget.

Times are changing and we understand that nobody really wants to drink a can of soda and be charged four times the normal price. Additionally, there is nothing worse than wasting time upon check out to dispute mini bar consumption, thus putting a downer on an otherwise great stay.

Our property is strategically located and it is within easy walking distance to a number of 24-hour convenience stores. Therefore, our guests are entirely free to purchase their own selection of snacks, refreshments and anything else they prefer. And that’s why our fridges run on empty!

Amadea Cares Helps A Child Smile

Amadea Cares proudly raises funds to cover the costs of performing essential craniofacial surgeries for local children in need. A percentage of the hotel’s monthly profit margin together with generous donations from in-house guests and hotel staffs are allocated to this worthy cause. Since the inception of Amadea Cares back in February 2012, we have collaborated with Yayasan Senyum Bali to successfully put the smiles back on many little faces.

The cost of a cleft palate operation is approximately seven million rupiah and this is a similar price to staying just one night in a luxury villa. However, for an impoverished family in Bali, this life-enhancing surgery is extremely expensive. That’s where Amadea Cares has been able to step in and take full responsibility for such procedures to take place.

Our lucky 9th patient was baby Nyoman Agus Krisna from the village of Tonja and he recently underwent surgery on 1st July 2015 at the Dharma Yadnya Hospital in Denpasar. He now has a beautiful smile and is able to feed properly for the very first time. This surgery will help little Nyoman Agus Krisna to live normally and we wish him all the very best for a brighter future.
