Tenganan, Balinese Traditional Village

Bali's Cultural Calendar

Bali's on going cycle of auspicious days and ceremonial events revolves around two unique calendar systems. Every month sees an array of symbolic rituals and religious rites being performed around the island. 

Besakih Temple, also known as the Mother Temple for followers of the Hindu faith, will be celebrating its annual temple festival next month. For an entire month, worshipers will flock to the temple bearing offerings to pray for peace and prosperity. 

Amadea Cares Sponsored Medical Operation for 6 Months Old Girl

Amadea Cares is our Corporate Social Responsibility program that focuses on giving back to local people in need. Not everyone on the island is fortunate enough to benefit from Bali’s lucrative tourism industry or have access to quality healthcare. Therefore, we have taken it upon ourselves to help some of the most vulnerable members of the community. Amongst other things, we have made it our main mission to fund craniofacial surgeries and restore quality of life to young children from impoverished families. 

On March 12th  essential surgeries were performed for a young children requiring urgent medical assistance under this program. Ardini Zikra Hibbi (6 months olds) both recently received brand new smiles after undergoing procedures to correct cleft palate deformities. These little boys now have the opportunity to grow up without affliction and later become productive members of society. 

We Care to Share

On March 9th staff members paid a visit to the Gayatri Widya Mandala Orphanage in Tabanan Regency to share the Joy of Nyepi, the holy month for Hindu community. 

In this visit we spend quality time with a group of underprivileged children. Our team organized fun games as well as an uplifting session to share personal dreams, hopes and aspirations for the future. A significant donation was also made to help with the operational costs of running the facility that provides a nurturing home environment for local youngsters in need.

Annual Staff Party: Spring in Paradise

Amadea Resort & Villas hosted its seven annual staff party on 2nd March 2018 taking floral theme. This event was held in appreciation for the hard work and dedication of all team members over the past year.  

This elegant party saw all employees dress in floral motive costume and gather for a cocktail reception followed by a delicious buffet dinner. There were lots of lucky door prizes drawn throughout the evening along with entertaining stage performances by each department. 

The highlight of this annual event was the announcement of the Employee and Supervisor of the Year 2017. After the careful judging process, the winner of Employee of the Year 2017 was Mr. Gede Arya Sugiantara from Housekeeping Department. The award for Supervisor of the Year 2017 went to Chief Securit, Mr. Koamng Sumiarsa.

These two winners are familiar to many of our guests. They will go on to represent Amadea in the same event on national level competing with others hotels within the Prime Plaza Hotels and Resorts group. At Amadea, we believe that nurturing our staff members and giving them the best possible environment to grow in, is a key part of our ongoing success.
