The Amadea Resort & Villas Team
Bali Villa Getaway
A villa is the perfect accommodation option for families with children or groups of friends travelling together to the island of Bali. Apart from extra space and heightened privacy, a villa has all the comforts and conveniences of a modern home. With this in mind, Amadea has created an exciting three night Bali Villa Getaway Package complete with an array of special privileges. Guests will be entitled return airport transfers, a 15 minute welcome massage, unlimited WiFi and daily buffet breakfast based on villa occupancy. There is also a free laundry of up to six pieces per person every day and a 20% discount voucher to use at Bistro Batu Kali. The highlight of this package is a full day charter to explore the island at a leisurely pace.
The Bali Villa Getaway Package is priced at just USD 1170 net to stay in a Two Bedroom Pool Villa or USD 1981 net for a stylishly-appointed Four Bedroom Pool Villa for three nights stay. Additional services can also be arranged on request at additional cost such as VIP airport assistance with express clearance through customs on arrival. A BBQ dinner cooked by a private chef is another incentive of staying in a villa and can be organised with prior notice at a reasonable fee.
There are several auspicious dates coming up on Bali's religious calendar that make the island so unique. Galungan on 7th September 2016 marks the beginning of a ten day festival that sees the Balinese return home to their ancestral villages to pray in their family temples. It involves elaborate offerings to appease the Gods as well as the unseen elements of the underworld.
A number of symbolic rites will be performed over several days culminating in a final ceremony known as Kuningan on 17th September 2016. This is an opportunity for the Balinese to honour the spirits of defied ancestors and express gratitude for the gift of life. The Galungan holiday is a great time to visit Bali and experience its rich cultural heritage.
Beach Cleanup and Employees of The Quarter
A Cleaning Blitz was carried out at Petitenget Beach on 22nd July 2016 to remove unsightly waste materials and leave the area in pristine condition for others to enjoy. The remainder of the day included team building exercises to strengthen relationships within the workplace. Amadea’s Employee of the Quarter award was announced during this gathering followed by an informal beach party with a delicious BBQ and upbeat music.
The most recent Employee of the Quarter winner is a member of engineering team, Agus Suryawan. He is a hard worker with a passion to serve and always goes above and beyond the call of duty. Another staff member, I Gusti Ngurah Agung Suadnyana, was also acknowledged for his outstanding performance as a casual contract worker.
Lastly, the winner of the Employee of the Quarter (most recommended by guests) is Kornelis Ndari. This award is presented to the staff member who has the most positive mentions in our guest comments cards. Kornelis is one of many Amadea stars to have won this particular award several times. These are just some of the dedicated people who serve our guests on a daily basis and our congratulations go out to all of the winners.
Taxi Appreciation Day
On an island where the public transportation sector is still relatively underdeveloped, Bali’s taxi drivers play an important role in serving the needs of visitors in a safe and convenient manner. In fact, they are true ambassadors for the tourism industry and help maintain the island’s image as a popular travel destination. To show gratitude for these unsung heroes, Amadea once again held its Taxi Appreciation Day. This inspiring initiative is a highly-anticipated event that is now conducted every year in conjunction with Indonesian Independence Day.
On 16th August 2016, a small group of staff members from various departments took to the street to hand out free lunch boxes to taxi drivers and freelance transport drivers operating on Jalan Kayu Aya. “All of the drivers in this immediate area support the resort by providing transport services for our guests. We are grateful to be surrounded by good people who care about Seminyak and this is our way of saying thank you for the work they do,” said Resty Kaningsih, Sales Manager at Amadea Resort and Villas.
