Galungan and Kuningan

Bali’s religious calendar is based on a 210 day cycle that is enriched with auspicious dates and colourful rituals. Over the coming month the island’s Hindu community will celebrate Galungan on 05th April 2016, which marks the beginning of a 10 day ceremonial festival. Galungan is a time when the Balinese return home to their ancestral villages to pray in their family temples. It also involves elaborate offerings to appease the Gods as well as the unseen elements of the underworld.

A number of symbolic rites will be performed over several days culminating in a final ceremony known as Kuningan on 15th April 2017. This is an opportunity for the Balinese to honour the spirits of defied ancestors and express gratitude for the gift of life. The Galungan holiday is a great time to visit Bali and experience its unique cultural heritage.

Annual Staff Party& Awards

Amadea Resort & Villas hosted its sixth annual staff party on 3rd March 2017. This event was held in appreciation for the hard work and dedication of all team members over the past year.  

This elegant party saw all employees dress in white costume and gather for a cocktail reception followed by a delicious buffet dinner. There were lots of lucky door prizes drawn throughout the evening along with entertaining stage performances by each department. 

The highlight of this annual event was the announcement of the Employee and Supervisor of the Year 2016. After the careful judging process, the winner of Employee of the Year 2016 was Agus Surya from Engineering Department. The award for Supervisor of the Year 2016 went Mr. Agus Surya to Sales Executive/ E-Commerce, Mr. Ngurah Suarjaya.

These two winners are familiar to many of our guests. They will go on to represent Amadea in the same event on national level competing with others hotels within the Prime Plaza Hotels and Resorts group.
