We Care to Share

Every kid wants a happy life and want to be raised by their parent with full of love and cares. But it is not always the case. Not every kid has such privilege. 

On 22nd November 2024 the Amadea Cares team visited and continued support to underprivileged family Mr. Wayan Mawa at Angseri Village in Tabanan Regency, Bali. This family of four consist of two lovely kids who have lost their parents and now live with their grandpa and grandma. Wayan Mawa and his wife make living from farming which give them only a little income. So to support two kids could be a challenge.

During the visit we brought them some basic goods such as pack of rice and cooking oil as well as pocket money for the kids and school needs. We were excited to see them well and hope that the kids will finish their study well and do as much as we can to support them. Mr. Mawa family thanked Amadea team and the support from guests thru Amadea Cares funding. They really appreciate this kindness. 

This family support program is Amadea Cares’ enlargement program apart from supporting medical surgery for kids with craniofacial disability. We have initiated this family support program since April 2019 with commitment to support families like this family for at least one full year to ensure those kids get proper education.

Island Inspired Christmas Activities

The best part about spending the festive season on the island of Bali with family and friends is that you are not bound by tradition. There are no rules or regulations and you are free to do exactly as you please. As Bali is a predominantly Hindu enclave, most tourism related ventures remain open on Christmas Day. You can do anything from indulging in a relaxing spa treatment to navigating the white water rapids of the Ayung River or cycling through Bali's rural villages.  

One of the more culturally inspiring activities that you can enjoy as a family on Christmas Day is partaking in a purification ritual in the holy waters of Tirta Empul Temple at Tampaksiring. This spiritually-charged location features a bathing pond fed by a series of fountains where the Balinese come to cleanse body, mind and spirit. An excursion to this site can be combined with lunch in a rice terrace setting at Bebek Tepi Sawah, a popular Ubud restaurant specializing in crispy fried duck.

Another great pastime is a Balinese cooking class where you will learn the secrets of local cuisine and get to take home news skills including how to prepare authentic nasi goreng. Located at Amadea main pool let’s chill out by the pool with Sunday Pool Side BBQ starting from 12 noon to 4 pm every Sunday. We inviting you to start and enjoy your weekend in style by chilling poolside with an array of refreshing cocktails and scrumptious food.

In House Guest Activity: Yoga Class

Calling to all yoga lovers and those who want to discover the benefits yoga has to offer. Our yoga class program offers something for everyone. Learn from Pak Wayan Sudira, our yoga teacher who is committed to his own practice and love to share what has helped transform his own live. 

Guest staying at Amadea vote this as one of the most favorite activity to start their day during holiday. Class is open for in house guest free of charge every Monday and Thursday starting 7.30 am for one hour at Sabha Room. Yoga mat, hand towel and bottled water will be provided.

Tumpek Kandang - Balinese Auspicious Day for Animals
