On 21st July 2023 afternoon staff from all department gathered at Petitenget Beach for quarterly staff gathering and to celebrated our in-house stars. The remainder of the day included team building exercises to strengthen relationships within the workplace. Amadea’s Employee of the Quarter award was announced during this gathering followed by an informal beach party with a delicious BBQ and upbeat music. 

Congratulations went out to Ms. Yuni Aryaningsih from Sales Department as an Employee of the Quarter for her outstanding performance. Ms. Ni Putu Yulia Dewi from F & B Production Department was chosen as the Employee of the Quarter Supporting Partner for her exceptional work ethic and team spirit. 

April, Ken (Guest Service Department), June, Nia, Rama, Dana, Sita, Desy (F & B Service Department), Rapi, Ridiastika, Sukma (Housekeeping Department) were awarded Employee of the Quarter – Most Recommended by Guests. This particular evaluation was based on the results of guest comment card received in reference to the friendliness and service of our team.

Galungan and Kuningan Day – Victory of Dharma against Adharma

Bali"s religious calendar is based on a 210 day cycle that is enriched with auspicious dates and colourful rituals. Over the coming month the island's Hindu community will celebrate Galungan on 2nd August 2023, which marks the beginning of a 10 day ceremonial festival. Galungan is a time when the Balinese return home to their ancestral villages to pray in their family temples. It also involves elaborate offerings to appease the Gods as well as the unseen elements of the underworld.

Kuningan is the culmination of the 10 days long Galungan festival where a number of symbolic rites will be performed over those days. This is an opportunity for the Balinese to honour the spirits of defied ancestors and express gratitude for the gift of life, perhaps similar to those celebrated during Day of the Death in Mexico.

So do expect to see some unique celebrations and temple festivals during this special occasion while you are holidaying in the Island of the Gods.
