Bali Sustainable Food Festival 2023

Asparagus Resto & Bar is proud to be part of the annual Bali Sustainable Food Festival which is organized by Bali Hotels Association. This year theme is wrapped around the best food of Bali, locally sourced ingredients and zero waste.

The festival take place in several participating restaurant around Bali from June 30 to July 15, 2023 showcasing the best of Balinese dishes using ingredients from local farmers, growers or suppliers. Other criteria to be included in the festival is that the restaurant must ensure minimum waste end up at landfill.

During the festival guest can embark to a unique and tasteful Balinese culinary journey. The culinary team at Asparagus have prepared some Balinese favorite foods including Sate Languan with Nasi Sela, Ayam Betutu, Nasi Campur Chef Bangli and Udang Bakar Bumbu Bali on the main course. Or guest can savor delicious Soto Ayam, the famous Indonesian chicken soup or Sup Ikan Laut, a favorite local fish soup in Balinese spices with prawn and calamary. If you are a cocktail lover, you will love the Balinese Arak cocktails creation from the in-house mixologist. 

Looking for something healthy to drink? Don’t worry, the drink list of the festival includes some fresh juices such as Milky Dragon Jelly, mixture of dragon fruit, fresh milk, honey and jelly. Or try the Super Berry, a concoction of strawberry fruit, strawberry yogurt and honey. Other choices not to be missed are Banana Nut, mix of banana fruit, fresh milk, honey and nut or Rainbow Juice, layer of papaya, mango, melon and dragon fruit juice which create colors of rainbow.

This special festival menu is available daily during dinner throughout the festival dates. Enjoy live music while dining on Monday, Wednesy, Friday and Sunday.

Amadea Turn Twelve This Year

We play humble in celebrating our 12th anniversary this year. This is time for us to pay gratitude for the blessing we have got during past years especially during the difficult time for the past two years.

Let’s have a quick look at the series of activities which was organized very well by the anniversary organizing committee.

On 17th March 2023 Amadea staff members visited family of the late Mr. Komang Sumiarsa, our former Security Supervisor, in Klungkung Regency. Mr. Komang passed away five months ago due to illness. Now his wife has to raise and support the live of their three young children. During the visit we brought them some basic goods such as pack of rice and cooking oil as well as pocket money for the kids.

In conjunction with Earth Day 2023 on April 22, 2023 our team conducted tree planting activity along Saraswati Street in the Seminyak neighborhood.  On that occasion we planted some champaka trees around the street followed by cleaning blitz in collaboration with local community.

Collaborating with Palang Merah Indonesia Badung chapter (Bali’s red cross organization) staff of Amadea and neighboring hotels and villas as well as our sister company PrimeBiz Hotel Kuta on 19th May 2023 conducted a community inspired blood donation drive. This resulted in more than 35 blood bags being collected. 

The final event of the series is a Tumpengan ceremony on June 1st at Sabha Room. Tumpengan ceremony is an Indonesian tradition in celebrating special days, highlighted with yellow rice cone and all yummy condiments as a symbol of gratitude to The Creator for all the blessings.  

This 12 years amazing journey would not have happened without the kind support from our guests, staff members and business partners. We are grateful for being surrounded by good hearts and look forward to very bright future soon.
