Balinese Dance, Dance for the Gods
The lifestyles of Balinese people is expressed in their dance. Not only do we learn about the Balinese religion from their dance creations but also we can come to understand the flow of cultural events and activities that belong to everyday life. We can discover Balinese attitudes, how they look at nature, and how they regard their fauna and flora.
Balinese dance goes as far back as Balinese written history with much of the heritage originating from Java. Ironically the Javanese culture has disappeared but has still survived in Bali and has become part of classical Balinese culture.
The very essence of the Balinese culture is dance and drama, which is performed during temple festivals and in ceremonies. The dances performed in hotels is a small fraction of what Balinese dance has to offer.
Several venues in Bali tourist area offer great opportunity for tourist to watch this beautiful culture heritage. Check with the hotel concierge to help you for schedules. Click this link https://bit.ly/1r54Ln9 to watch the famous Legong Dance in Ubud Palace.

Little Things That Matter
Amadea is a small but service-orientated hotel that always does its very best to stand out from the rest. Therefore, the members of the Housekeeping team have a unique way of brightening up
every single day for in-house guests. After each room has been cleaned, our attendants will leave a little memento on the bed in the form of towel art. They have taken the skill of folding towels to the next level by creating a wide range of animals, flowers and even a cake for those extra special occasions. There’s even a loving pair of swans to greet honeymooners or couples celebrating their anniversary.
Guests are often amazed at what they find each day. From a dog wearing reading glasses to a cat or rabbit cuddled up on the pillow, there is no limit to the creativity. Often the Room Attendants get special requests and they have even managed to successfully make a man playing a drum as well as an angry bird. Daily towel art has become a highlight for everyone staying at Amadea and there is always an element of surprise when guests return to see what fun creation is decorating their bed.
From the News: Bali Eyes Reopening to International Tourist by End of July
Bali aims to reopen the island to foreign tourists by end of July by speeding up vaccination rollout in the place.
According to Tourism and Creative Economy minister Sandiaga Uno, the Indonesian government is in talks with different countries like China, South Korea, and Singapore for potential travel bubbles to allow travellers to visit the island.
Crucial to Indonesia’s plan is rolling out the vaccine in Bali and other tourism sites like Bintan and Batam and inoculate a large portion of the population. However, one of the roadblocks to this plan is the shortage of vaccines worldwide.
Same with many countries, Indonesia prioritised shots for the elderly and frontline workers in Covid-19 hotspots such as Jakarta, but a new directive from President Joko Widodo aims to include Bali in the list, Uno said.
“We already have close to 60,000 to 70,000 vaccinators ready in Bali. Once we have the supply, the Health Minister said we can complete the task in two to three months, taking us to mid- or end-July,” he added. In order to kickstart the tourism reopening, at least two million residents have to be vaccinated.
Indonesia has inoculated over 10.6 million people so far, the most in Southeast Asia. This has greatly helped decrease the number of infections per day by half from nearly 11,000 down to 5,000 daily cases.
