Amadea's Temple Anniversary

Amadea Resort & Villas celebrates the anniversary of its temple every year with an elaborate purification ceremony to reinforce the connection between the physical and unseen worlds. 

This year it was on 10th October 2022, which is an auspicious date on the Balinese religious calendar that coincides with the full moon. The ceremony involved colorful offerings and a ritual blessing by a local high caste priest. In-house guests were also invited to come to observe the proceedings and join the Amadea team as they pray for peace and prosperity.

The essence of Balinese Hinduism is all about maintaining a harmonious existence. This concept is supported by a lifestyle philosophy known as Tri Hita Karana that embodies the balance between man, his environment and God Almighty. Religion greatly influences the everyday lives of most Balinese. Here, ancestors are defied, as are the fundamental forces of nature. Beneath the surface of modernization, it is Bali’s rich culture and timeless traditions that make the island such a unique destination.

Bali offers so many things to do during your holiday. There is a long list of activity to do from early morning up to the following morning.

If you plan an early morning activity like Mount Batur hiking or early morning fishing trip or even early morning flight, you need not to worry for missing your breakfast.

From the Backstage: Our Star Performers

At Amadea, we believe that having happy staff members is a contributing factor to ensuring that our guests are happy during their stay. With this in mind, we conduct regular training and development sessions to empower our team and equip them with the tools necessary to serve. We also go to great lengths to identify and reward good deeds through our Employee of the Quarter initiative.  

The most recent “Employee of the Quarter” winner is a member of Guest Service team, Ni Luh Putu Ardiningsih. Hana, her nickname, is a hard worker with a passion to serve and always goes above and beyond the call of duty.  

Another staff member, Gede Eka Narayana aka “Eka” from Security Department was also acknowledged as “Employee of the Quarter – Supporting Partner” for his outstanding performance as a casual contract worker. 

The award was presented during the Staff Gathering held last week in one of our Pool Villas participated by all staff. The event was truly refreshing with fun games, birthday celebration as well as foods and drinks.

These are just some of the dedicated people who serve our guests on a daily basis and our congratulations go out to all of the winners. Many of you might be familiar with those star employees.

Bali’s Cultural Calendar : Tumpek Landep

Tumpek Landep on 5th November 2022 pays homage to metal heirlooms such as the traditional daggers that were once part of Bali’s warrior past. These weapons are cleaned and blessed with offerings and a sprinkle of holy water. Nowadays, cars and motorbikes are also decorated and blessed by the Hindu community.
