Little Girl Putu Kyara Gets a New Smile
25 November 2024
In a heartwarming collaboration, Amadea Resort and Villas, in partnership with Yayasan Senyum Bali, has successfully sponsored a crucial medical operation for Putu Kyara, a spirited three months old girl with a craniofacial disability. The operation took place on October 10, 2024 at Prof Ngurah Hospital in Denpasar, marking a significant milestone in Kyara’s journey toward a brighter future.
Kyara hails from a humble family in Bali. Her father, Adi Aryanata, works as a cook - kitchen at a local nightclub, while her mother is a dedicated housewife. Despite the island’s thriving tourism economy, many families, like Kyara’s, face significant challenges in accessing essential medical care. Recognizing this gap, Amadea Resort and Villas has committed to supporting local families in need.
“Although Bali gains a lot of financial benefits from tourism, this is not equally distributed,” says Wayan Warta, General Manager of Amadea Resort and Villas. “Many families in the rural areas of the island do not feel the privilege. At Amadea, we strive to support them and bring smiles to their faces through donations made by our guests and our dedicated staff, alongside our collaboration with Yayasan Senyum Bali.”
Since the program's inception in February 2012, Amadea Resort and Villas has facilitated 28 successful operations for 24 children in need, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to community welfare and social responsibility.
Adi Aryanata, Kyara’s father, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the guests and management of Amadea. “I hope my daughter has the brightest future she can. Thank you for this worthy assistance that has changed our lives,” he shared, his voice filled with emotion.
