Nowhere to Be Until Four O'Clock Sunday BBQ at the main pool, from twelve

Sunday afternoon is the one part of the week that should not require a plan. Ours begins at noon by the main pool and runs until four, which is roughly long enough to do nothing properly.

The grill covers both moods. There is the food you eat standing up with a drink in your other hand beef hot dogs, chicken wings, burgers, sandwiches and there is the food worth sitting down for. The beef tenderloin is a reason to arrive hungry. So is the seafood platter: prawns, squid and mahi-mahi with mixed lettuce, sweet corn and a lemon butter sauce you will end up using on everything else on the table.

At two o'clock the Pool Bar joins in. Buy two of the selected cocktails or two Bintang and the third one is ours, right through until four which happens to cover the exact stretch of the afternoon when nobody feels like moving.

That is the whole event. Good food, cold drinks, a pool you are already standing next to, and four hours you do not have to account for to anyone.
